Forty-nine Students Inducted into Language Honor Societies

Forty-nine Upper School students were inducted into the French, Chinese, Latin, and Spanish honor societies in a series of ceremonies in April and May. 

“There is no more important class in high school than language classes,” Head of Upper School Rick Tate said. “The benefits of speaking another language and understanding another culture are skills students have the capability of using for the rest of their lives. The opportunity to walk in someone else’s shoes and see what they are experiencing is something that makes use truly human.”

Congrats to juniors Samantha Allison, Grace Guminey, and Nina Head and seniors Audrey Cors, Hattie Culpepper, Abby Deimling, Timothy DeWitt, Evy LaBare, Sophia Levesque, Roman Russo, Sydney Schneider, Nicholas Stein, and Katie Stevens for their induction into the French Honor Society. 

Congrats to freshman Cecilia Pohl, and juniors Jasper Burroughs, Elliot Domet, Charlie Dubay, Colin Froehle, Paul Gubanich, Elizabeth Klocek, Meggie Kunkel, and Griffin Osher for being inducted into the Chinese Honor Society. 

Congrats to juniors Daniela Alper, Ethan Avera, Sai Basava, Tyler Imrie, Hannah Olowokure, and Adam Schaefer on their induction in the Latin National Honor Society.
