Books for Lunch
December 3, 2025
You’re invited to Books for Lunch!
On Feb. 6, come spend a delightful afternoon with New York Times bestselling author Ariel Lawhon.
Lawhon’s novels include: “The Frozen River,” “Code Name Hélène,” “I was Anastasia,” and several more. Her books have been translated into numerous languages and have been Good Morning America Book Club, Library Reads, and Book of the Month Club selections.
“The Frozen River” is a gripping historical mystery novel inspired by the life and diary of Martha Ballard, a renowned 18th-century midwife who investigates a shocking murder that unhinges her small community. It is also a GMA Book Club book, NPR Book of the Year, and Kirkus Book of the Year.

Hear more about her writing journey and what inspires her creativity by purchasing a ticket and joining us at The Lightwell at North by Hotel Covington on Friday, Feb. 6 at noon. A cash bar opens at 11 a.m.
