Upper School Holds Mock Election

Upper School students participated in a mock election on Nov. 6. During Election Day, students went to the polls, which were open throughout the school day. Students ran the polling stations, checked in voters, and gave them their ballots. “Several students from Club JEDI and the Social Activism club had information booths set up throughout our hallways geared toward educating students about the significance of voting and this election,” said history teacher Jen Faber. “The point of this was to take an opportunity to discuss process rather than the outcome of an election. Club JEDI and the Social Activism Club helped to bring awareness about the election and set up booths on election day to educate students about how to contact reps, get info on candidates and be socially active.”
