Unit III Uses Robotics to Make Mini Golf Course

A recent robotics lesson was all fun and games for Unit III students! Students used Hummingbird Robotics kits to design a miniature golf course hole. Unit III teacher Julie Guminey said that to prepare for the activity, students learned to code and discussed the different types of miniature golf course holes. “Their task was to incorporate the Hummingbird kit to make a moving obstacle,” Guminey said. Students created a windmill and a moving arm, among other obstacles. She said students conducted test runs to make sure it was possible for their peers to actually make a hole in one.
