Third-graders Share Cincinnati History Project
Every year, third-graders in Kim Walden and Rebecca Harnage’s classes take a deep dive into the history of Cincinnati. As a culminating project, students researched a Cincinnati institution and shared their projects via Google Slides. “Each child chose a topic about something that is truly created in, exists in, or is from Cincinnati,” Walden said. “The children had to do research on their topic and then create a report and a presentation to share what they had learned.” Students shared presentations about Graeter’s Ice Cream, the Cincinnati Zoo, Procter and Gamble, Lunken Airport, and much more. “The children became knowledgeable experts in their topics, and the results were fabulous!” Walden said.
