Seven Hills Parents Teach Kindergarteners About Hanukkah

Seven Hills parents Kelli and Nate Gleiner, Nate is also an Upper School English teacher, visited the kindergarten classes on Dec. 4 to share the story of Hanukkah with students. The Gleiners shared the story of Hanukkah, which began Dec. 2 and ends Dec. 10, and taught students how to light the menorah. Students also learned a Hanukkah blessing. Nate Gleiner read the children’s book “The Latke Who Couldn’t Stop Screaming,” which was about a latke who escapes from a pan. Some Upper School students also attended the presentation. When the Gleiners were finished with their presentation, Upper School students and kindergarteners played the dreidel together.
