Head of School Chris Garten welcomed students back to class. He gave an opening speech about the Seven Hills’ values of fairness and justice. Students, including fifth-graders Amara Kulkarni (Lotspeich) and Grace Guminey (Doherty),seventh-grader Annalise Hawgood (Middle School), and Upper School student president senior Michael Weirichand vice president senior Grant Veldhuisalso spoke. Weirich discussed how students should embody the values throughout the school year and the community should work to ensure that everyone is treated equally. “I think it’s fairto say everyone will benefit if we strive to be  just a little bit better than the last,” Weirich said.
