Senior Wins Overture Competition, Freshman Advances to Final Round
Congratulations to senior Natalie Choo for recently winning finals for vocal performance at the Cincinnati Arts Association Overture Awards. Choo performed My Life’s Delight by Roger Quilter and Tornami a vagheggiar from the opera Alcina, by George Frideric Handel. Freshman Andrew Yang, a violinist, advanced to the last round of the competition and was a finalist. The Overture Awards is a program that recognizes, encourages, and rewards excellence in the arts among Greater Cincinnati students in grades 9-12. Its mission is to encourage arts education as an integral part of a student’s academic experience and to create an environment that encourages training in, and appreciation of, the arts. Both Yang and Choo recently performed at an Upper School assembly. Seven Hills congratulates these student artists!
