Senior Culminating Experience
Each year, during their last two days of school, seniors participate in a culminating experience, a unique event that asks students to give back to their community and reflect. On the first day of their Culminating Experience, students enjoyed a Countdown to Graduation breakfast hosted by the Alumni Association and heard a TED Talk in the Black Box Theatre before boarding a bus to volunteer in the community. When they returned, they wrote letters to next year’s rising ninth-graders. Nick Francis, director of Experiential Learning, also presented small notebooks, each with a different student’s name on the cover. Seniors wrote in their classmates’ notebook about their time together at Seven Hills. The next day, students decorated graduation caps, did a writing exercise and heard from a panel of Seven Hills alumni who are in the workforce. Later in the day, students heard from alumni who are currently enrolled in college. The day culminated with the Junior/Senior Picnic.
