NASA Scientist Speaks to Seventh-graders

Earth science teacher Kristin Suer invited a very special guest to speak to her seventh-graders in late November. Sophia Herrmann, an aerospace engineer at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, visited Seven Hills and spoke about being a woman scientist, her pathway to landing her job, and her current work with the rovers on Mars. Herrmann began working at NASA fulltime in 2016 and has had several jobs within the organization. Suer also invited other Seven Hills science teachers and divisions to attend the presentation.
