Middle Schoolers Enjoy Annual Beginning of the Year Retreats

To help kick off the start of a new school year, sixth- and seventh-graders enjoyed retreats where they got to know each other and their teachers. Sixth-grade students participated in many activities, including discussing their summer reading and creating tessellation art. On the second day of the retreat, students were on and off campus throughout the day. At the Middle School, they played games and modeled handmade outfits in a fun fashion show. They also headed to Main Event in West Chester to bowl, play laser tag, and much more.  Seventh-graders enjoyed a full day of activities. In the morning, they prepared for a dance-off by coming together in their advisories and choosing a song and creating a dance routine. Students also enjoyed snacks and get-to-know-you activities like Two Truths and One Lie, Capture the Flag, and a water relay. The day ended with a screening of the classic film, “The Outsiders.”
