Middle School Asks Students to Pay it Forward
Head of Middle School Bill Waskowitz asked Middle School students to find ways to pay it forward over the Thanksgiving break. During the annual Thanksgiving Assembly, Waskowitz talked to Middle Schoolers about the importance of helping others and how students can make small changes on a day-to-day basis. “How can we as a community pay it forward?” Waskowitz asked. He challenged students to do a small gesture over the Thanksgiving break and make someone else’s day. In addition to the challenge, Waskowitz shared the results of the Middle School’s Mighty Men of Movember. Throughout the month of November, male faculty, a group of eighth-grade boys, and a late addition of sixth-grader Avani Shah, grew out their mustaches to raise money and promote awareness of men’s health issues. In total, the group raised $842.29!
