Locks for Leonard
Students gathered in the Middle School to have their hair cut for a cause on May 16. The annual Locks for Leonard, a Middle School-sponsored charitable hair donation event named for the late Beth Leonard, was held in mid-May. Leonard was a Middle School physical education teacher who passed away in 2014. Students and teachers alike each had eight or more inches of hair cut, which was donated to help children and young adults who have lost their hair due to medical reasons. The hair was given to Locks of Love, Children with Hair Loss, and Hope Scarves. The Middle School also collected scarves for Hope Scarves, which gives scarves to people in cancer treatments. Thank you to students and teachers who donated, and math teacher Theresa Keller, who organized the event.
