Kindergarteners Hold Celebration of Lights

Every holiday season, kindergarteners in the Early Childhood Center learn about several holidays in which lights play an important role. Students learned about Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Christmas, Diwali, Las Posadas, St. Lucia’s Day, and Dia de los Muertos and held a Celebration of Lights on Dec. 17. Diane Schulteis, Becky Swain, and Michelle Foster’s kindergarten classrooms were decorated with the many important items used during these holidays, including a Kwanzaa kinara, candles for Diwali, and a menorah for Hanukkah. Students, their families, and friends enjoyed fun holiday activities and snacks.
