Creepy Critters Day

As part of an annual tradition, sixth-graders participated in Creepy Critters Day (formerly Insect Day) on Oct. 31. Along with parents and friends, students created pie charts to graph arthropod data collected by the Upper School environmental science class. Students also conducted a termite experiment that required participants to group up and draw a line on a piece of paper, and then determine if the termite followed the line. All the groups recorded the data, analyzed, and graphed it. Students also wrote about insects as part of a creative writing exercise.
