Innovation Lab Presentations

Seventh-graders in Karen Glum’s design thinking class culminated their Innovation Lab projects in late December with a presentation of prototypes designed to solve problems. As part of a partnership with the Cincinnati Zoo and refugee organization Heartfelt Tidbits, students used design thinking to create devices for these organizations. They also created prototypes to solve real-world problems they found from family and people around campus. Some examples of items shared during the presentations include a hamster habitat, a way to stop birds from flying into windows, a book stand to use when reading at night, and a spray paint tent.
