The Doherty Campus cafetorium was recently transformed into a Gingerbread Wonderland. More than 70 houses were decorated by class groups, families, and individuals. Students and families gathered to enjoy an evening of gingerbread house gazing, hot chocolate, and very green Grinch punch! Head of Doherty Tracy Murch said the event was designed to bring Doherty together as a community. “Everyone had the opportunity to receive a corrugated cardboard frame and we asked students and families to work on them and bring them back,” said March. “Each classroom worked on a house together and some teachers decorated their own as well. The result was amazing and truly showcased the creativity and collaboration of our entire school community.” Each house was also decorated with LED lights that sparkled when the lights were dimmed in the cafetorium during the gathering. Many thanks to the Doherty Parents Association for making this magical moment a reality!
