Gingerbread Holiday Village
If you could design your very own cardboard gingerbread house replete with LED lights, what would it look like? Doherty families answered that question with brilliantly appointed gingerbread houses and holiday scenes that bore the resemblance to everything from snowmen to 3-D structures, to what one might imagine a penguin house would look like. The Doherty Campus gym was recently transformed into a Gingerbread Wonderland during Gingerbread Holiday Village, a fun event that brings together families with plenty of hot chocolate and winter treats. Students and families gathered to enjoy an evening of gingerbread house gazing and friendship. “Everyone had the opportunity to receive a corrugated cardboard frame and we asked students and families to work on them and bring them back,” said Head of School Tracy Murch. “Each classroom worked on a house together and some teachers decorated their own as well. Many thanks to the Doherty Parents Association for making this wintry, magical moment a reality!
