Doherty Students Take on Art Challenge
Units II and III students in Donna Breitenstein’s art classes morphed into famous artwork as part of an ongoing global art challenge being promoted by art museums throughout the world during quarantine. “The students sent me a photo of a famous artwork, the name of the artist and the title of the work they chose, along with a photo of their replication of the copy of the art,” said Breitenstein. The students embodied work by a variety of artists, including Vermeer, Edvard Munch, Vincent Van Gogh, Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso, to name a few.
