Doherty Celebrates with Online Magic Show

Doherty Campus students enjoyed an evening of magical fun with Cincinnati magician Matthew Taylor! Doherty students and families watched as Taylor stumped them with sleight of hand tricks, then taught them a few to try on their families later. Doherty Parent Community co-chair Susan Schaefer said the show was something parents felt would entertain students at a time when Doherty Carnival will not take place. “Matthew Taylor had already been lined up by the Carnival Planning Committee to come to the carnival, so we asked if he would be willing to do something virtually instead,” said Schaefer. She added that the magic show offered students and families a way to continue to build community despite social distancing measures.  “Community building is such an important aspect of the Parent Community’s efforts and it’s been difficult to do while being separated from everyone,” said Schaefer. “We hope this was at least something that helped families feel connected to the Seven Hills Doherty Campus family during this time. We miss everyone so much and can’t wait to get back to school!”
