Doherty Campus Welcomes New Head of School Tracy Murch

The Seven Hills School welcomed new Head of Lower School for our Doherty Campus, Tracy Murch, to the administrative team this fall. A prolific educator and visionary leader, Murch received her B.A. in education from St. Michael’s College, her M.Ed. in special education from Notre Dame College, and her educational leadership certification from Plymouth State College. She most recently held the position of Head of Teaching, Learning, and Innovation Pre-K-12 at GEMS Dubai American Academy and Elementary Principal at GEMS Nations Academy in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In 2011, Murch served as the Head of the Lower School for TASIS, one of the most prestigious international American schools in the world. During her five-year tenure there, Murch led a significant curriculum audit to modernize and align the curriculum and to introduce a host of curriculum innovations around technology. “Tracy comes to Seven Hills with a remarkable 32-year career as a public and independent school educator who has designed curriculum and led academic teams at some of the most prestigious international American schools in the world,” said Seven Hills Assistant Head of School and Director of College Counseling Susan Marrs.“We are thrilled that Tracy has joined our Seven Hills administrative leadership team on our Doherty Campus, which serves students from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.” Murch’s vast range of expertise includes instructional design theory, developing strategies that enhance big-picture learning experiences, and disseminating research and analysis on technology. She also has experience with STEM programs, as well as 21st Century Learning Models. In 2011, she received the Outstanding Role Model Award from the New Hampshire School Principals Association.
