Day On, Not Off is Monday
Every year, Middle School families take part of a day of service on Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Day. Head of Middle School Bill Waskowitz, who organizes the event with Middle and Upper School world language teacher Jacky Kalubi, said the day of community service is in its sixth or seventh year. “This event began out of the desire to honor Dr. King’s spirit of caring for the less fortunate and foster the spirit of volunteerism,” Waskowitz said. Middle School students, families, and friends are invited to volunteer at Matthew 25: Ministries this Monday, Jan. 21, from 9-11:30 a.m. Matthew 25 is located at 11060 Kenwood Road, Blue Ash. “Middle School students, their parents, friends, and family should volunteer to embrace and support the spirit of Dr. King’s message of love and respect for others,” Waskowitz said. “This is a great opportunity for the Seven Hills community to come together, on a day set aside to honor Dr. King.”
