Center for Arts and Leadership Groundbreaking
The Seven Hills School is proud to announce the name of our state-of-the-art building under construction at the south of our Hillsdale Campus—The Schiff Center! The name was announced during a groundbreaking ceremony held Monday, June 11. Attendees watched a time lapse video of construction progress over the last six weeks. The Schiff Center will house a 500-seat auditorium, classrooms and practice space, a green room, and more! The venue had gone by a variety of monikers during the fundraising phase, including “the auditorium” and “The Center for Arts and Leadership.” However, in recent weeks we arrived at the much simpler name, the Schiff Center, in honor of Robert and Adele and Jim and Beth Schiff and their family. Donors, faculty, and administration attended the exuberant event, during which attendees were able to look outside the window of the library to view the construction site. Seven Hills Board of Trustees Chair Jen Stein and Head of School Chris Garten thanked Seven Hills’ dedicated, visionary donors, board members, faculty, fine and performing arts department chair Tina Kuhlman, Seven Hills’ Director of Development Margo Kirstein and her department, and Seven Hills administration for their enormous show of support and leadership through a three-year capital campaign that made the dream of the Schiff Center come true. The Schiff Center is scheduled to open in April of 2019.
