Authors Speak to Middle School Students
Authors Meg Wolitzer and Holly Goldberg Sloan recently spoke to Middle School students about their new teen book, “To Night Owl From Dog Fish.” Two girls from the East and West Coast start an unlikely correspondence when their dads become a couple. The girls attend camp together and communicate through letters. Wolitzer described the book as an epistolary novel and the story is told through documents, such as letters and emails. Wolitzer and Goldberg Sloan read a passage from their book. They also talked about their experiences at camp, their passion for writing and the challenges that come with it, and the people who fostered their interests.
