Our Philosophy

At Seven Hills, we believe that in sports, developing strength, resilience, and friendship matter just as much as skills, agility, and strategy. Our student athletes become more than a team—they’re also mentors, friends, leaders.

The softball program is strongly committed to help each student athlete achieve her athletic goals and reach her fullest potential. They are backed by their teammates and coaches on and off the field. At Seven Hills, success is measured in more than runs scored, it’s measured in strength of character.

Our softball team learns important life lessons that remain with them for a lifetime. Aligned with Seven Hills’ full-participation athletics philosophy, our softball program welcomes any athlete who wishes to play the sport.

Coaching Philosophy

Sports have always been an important part of my life. My goal as a coach has always been to provide my players with a positive experience through opportunity and environment. As a coach, I make sure my players not only learn the skills and strategies of the game, but also have fun, develop friendships, a sense of commitment, and a strong work ethic. I ask my players to bring a positive attitude and a willingness to work to practice each day. Practices always include developing the fundamentals, but we also teach different situations that arise in a softball game. My role as a coach is to teach, encourage, and support my athletes in their growth as softball players and as students.

What I Like Best About Coaching at Seven Hills

I admire my student athletes’ ability to balance their academics and athletics and to do this with such positive attitudes. I love getting to know the kids and learning about them through softball. It is a thrill for me to see them make plays happen through their individual efforts, as well as seeing how much they grow when they start working together as a team. Their persistence and outstanding effort is inspiring and I love seeing them grow in confidence and ability.
