Girls Bowling

Our Philosophy

The Seven Hills girls bowling program is among the strongest in the area. Our coaches are committed to developing the technical, tactical, and athletic abilities of each member of the team. With player skill levels ranging from newcomer to very experienced, our program is designed to help each bowler continuously improve. Aligned with Seven Hills’ full-participation athletics philosophy, our bowling program welcomes any athlete who wishes to play the sport, and is deeply committed to help each student athlete achieve her athletic goals and reach her fullest potential.

While winning is very important to the team, of equal importance is our commitment to sportsmanlike play. Our coaches are role models to their players, providing a challenging, competitive environment in which the ideals of respect, personal integrity, and character development are stressed. While we take competitive bowling seriously, we also think it’s fun! We recognize the tremendous value that comes from love of the game and the relationships players build as members of the team, and we strive to create an environment where the team and individual flourish.

Go STINGERS!

COACHING PHILOSOPHY

As a coach, I try to give my bowlers the tools they need to be successful. I help athletes to be competitive by teaching them the fundamentals, as well as more advanced techniques, but I also emphasize that it’s important to relax and have fun. It is my goal to customize my coaching instruction based on the abilities and experience of the bowler, and I strive to provide instruction to help everyone on my team achieve her personal best. Although I have more than 25 years of bowling experience, I am always looking to learn. To keep my coaching skills sharp, I received both the United States Bowling Congress Level 1 Certification and the Ritgers Training Level 1 Certification. In addition to coaching, I compete in the sport in local and state tournaments. Every year, I enjoy watching new bowlers learn the game and bowlers who are in their second, third, or fourth year improve their skills. I am always delighted to see the team or an individual bowl their highest games.

WHAT I LIKE BEST ABOUT COACHING AT SEVEN HILLS

Our athletes are dedicated, hard-working, great students, who demonstrate the Seven Hills Values both on and off the playing field. When our bowlers show up to matches, the other teams know we will always demonstrate good sportsmanship. We play hard and we play fair. We come to compete, but we also have fun and our team always looks forward to meeting new bowlers.
