Each year, Seven Hills strives to be the premier high school boys swimming program in Cincinnati. To reach this goal, we annually compete against the top swim programs in the Cincinnati area and statewide. Aligned with Seven Hills’ full-participation athletics philosophy, our boys swim program welcomes any athlete who wishes to join the team, and is deeply committed to help each student athlete achieve his athletic goals and reach his fullest potential.
Even more important than our constant athletic pursuits, Seven Hills boys swimming additionally measures success by the quality of young men who graduate from our program.
As coaches, we know we’ve been successful when, years after our athletes leave our program, they have taken the lessons they learned from Seven Hills athletics programs and integrated them into the rest of their lives.
Varsity Swimming Head Coach
As a coach, I try to see the potential in every swimmer, to help each individually, and to lead the team to a successful season. It is my goal to help Seven Hills swimmers to become athletes and learn life lessons through dedication to a varsity sport. Our program is designed to improve coordination, physical strength, endurance, and mental toughness. Before we start the season, I always stress the importance of organization and communication. Strong communication throughout the season and the organization of the swimmers’ own schedules puts the athlete in charge of their own training and builds responsibility. I believe it is important that swimming remains a team sport and that every team member is acknowledged for their contributions to our team. Whether an athlete is just learning to swim competitively, or a state champion swimmer, the Seven Hills swim program provides an inclusive team experience that builds upon both personal and team accomplishments.
WHAT I LIKE BEST ABOUT COACHING AT SEVEN HILLS
It’s the level of dedication and drive that our swimmers possess, both in and out of the pool. Our athletes are passionate about swimming, and they bring the same level of dedication to their academics as they do to their sport.
