Boys Bowling

Our PHilosophy

The Seven Hills boys bowling program is among the strongest in the area. Our coaches are committed to developing the technical, tactical, and athletic abilities of each member of the team. With player skill levels ranging from newcomer to very experienced, our program is designed to help each bowler continuously improve. Aligned with Seven Hills’ full-participation athletics philosophy, our bowling program welcomes any athlete who wishes to play the sport, and is deeply committed to help each student athlete achieve his athletic goals and reach his fullest potential.

While winning is very important to the team, of equal importance is our commitment to sportsmanlike play. Our coaches are role models to their players, providing a challenging, competitive environment in which the ideals of respect, personal integrity, and character development are emphasized. While we take competitive bowling seriously, we also think it’s fun! We recognize the tremendous value that comes from love of the game and the relationships players build as members of the team, and we strive to create an environment where the team and individual flourish.

Randy Wilson

Boys Varsity Bowling Head Coach
Year Started: 2015

With 30 years of bowling experience and my family’s passion for bowling, I am delighted to be part of the Seven Hills bowling program. As a coach, I know that athletes learn in different ways. My job is to find each player’s strengths and help him adapt his strengths to the game. During practice, we focus on drills and techniques to understand the fundamentals of the game. I also believe that being prepared and learning to make adjustments are two important keys to bowling. My goal every year is to try to see each player improve by the end of the season, no matter how long he has participated in the sport.

My athletes have a willingness to learn their sport and want to improve, but they also enjoy the game. Throughout the years, I have noticed the great sportsmanship that all Seven Hills athletes demonstrate. Going into matches, I find our team not only supports each other but also supports the other teams. Our athletes develop friendships with opposing team members and honor the Seven Hills values.
