An Alaskan Study

Students in Joan Claybourn and Sherri Linville’s Unit II classes have been studying Alaska and the Inuit. During the study the students decided what they wanted to learn more about and conducted research to create presentations to teach the rest of the Unit their findings. Some of the topics students wanted to learn more about included: clothing, shelter, food, hunting, animals, and ceremonies. “The visual aids were anything from keynotes, posters, fashion shows and models,” said Claybourn. “As we move forward we are preparing to study and research the Iditarod.”
