African-American Awareness Club Holds Soul Food Festival

The African-American Awareness Club (AAA) hosted its annual Soul Food Festival in late February. “The Soul Food Festival is one of our signature events for Black History Month,” said AAA member and senior Rosalind Roland. “With the help of SNAAP and parent volunteers, we provided a wide variety of food options and raised more than $700. The event takes about a month to plan and is pretty much an all-day effort when you include making the food, set up, serving, and clean up. The hard work definitely pays off and the festival is one of our favorite events of the year.” Many thanks to the members of AAA and the Seven Hills Network of African-American Parents (SNAAP).
