Connect with a Parent

Through feedback surveys, shared this spring while classes were being conducted via remote learning, Seven Hills parents shared their thoughts about the virtual learning experience.

Zoom meetings are nice for kids to feel connected. It is the right frequency for us.”

“I don’t know of any other school that has provided the structure, the academics, the support and the social opportunities for their students more than 7 Hills (and I have talked to a lot of parents and children in other schools as part of my job as a physician).”

“I’m overall impressed with how the teachers and school are handling remote learning. Way to go teachers and staff! 🙂

“We can’t thank the faculty enough for all of their hard work. Communication has been great. Given this crazy situation, we feel blessed to have the girls at 7 Hills … we really don’t see how it could go any better.”

-Parent of Seven Hills Students, spring 2020

“I am truly impressed and deeply appreciative of how uniquely well Seven Hills is handling the distance learning. Faculty, administrators, and staff are clearly putting a tremendous amount of work into this unusual approach to conducting classes. My daughter enjoys being able to have her regular classes and routines, such as advisory, online. She is interested and engaged during the school day and still feels connected to her friends, classmates and teachers. Thank you for providing such an excellent educational experience during this difficult time.”

“Overall, compared to other schools, my children are getting a much better remote education (which I would expect).”

“Zoom and PowerPoint lessons (live and prerecorded) and Flipgrid are favorites. They love seeing their teachers and friends.”

“I [have kids] in 3 different high schools in Cincinnati and Seven Hills is truly doing an excellent job”

-Parent of a Seven Hills Upper School Student, spring 2020

“I have talked to a lot of Cincinnati parents and students over the last few weeks, and no school seems to have the depth of academics and the social connection that Seven Hills has created. Our family is grateful for the extraordinary response by teachers and administrators. I am happier than ever to be a Seven Hills parent.”

“I have a student in another school so I have a little comparison. Seven hills is doing a fantastic job. The amount of screen time with the new shortened classes is just right. My daughter is still being held accountable for the material and able to get extra help one on one when needed. She enjoys seeing her classmates and is even participating in clubs via zoom. I know this isn’t ideal—and a tough way to finish out her high school career, but this is so much better than what our sons high school is offering that we are considering a switch of schools for him in the fall.”

-Parent of a Seven Hills Upper School student, spring 2020

“I think you all have done a phenomenal job of EVERYTHING— lesson design, differentiated instruction, potential for personal modification and independent choice… all of it. Not to mention how thorough you are in your parent communication. THANK YOU for making this the best experience possible under the circumstances. We are so grateful to be part of such a supportive school community with such dedicated and well-trained staff. LOVE you all.”

-Parent of a Seven Hills Lower School student, spring 2020

“I appreciate the huge pivot everyone has made to enable continued learning. We are fortunate to have the staff and resources to be able to facilitate this for our students.”
