Seven Hills Instrumentalists to Perform in Citywide and Regional Orchestras

Congratulations to several Seven Hills students who will play in the Cincinnati Symphonic Youth Orchestra (CSYO) and students who will play in the Southwest Regional Honors Orchestra in early November.

Seven Hills Freshman Kathryn Guo and Sophomore Andrew Yang are finalists in the CSYO Concerto competition, in which the students will vie to solo with the CSYO Philharmonic and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. The competition will take place at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10, at a side venue housed at Music Hall. Guo and Yang are among five finalists in the competition.

On Sunday, Nov. 11, junior Rajiv Raman will perform in the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Concert Orchestra and Guo, Yang, as well as senior Max Yuan and sophomore Meg Yuan also will perform in the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Philharmonic orchestra.

Later this month, Guo, Raman, Max Yuan, Meg Yuan, Yang, and senior Chris Nathan will also perform in the Ohio Music Education Association Southwest Regional Honors Orchestra on Sunday, Nov. 18, at Hamilton High School. All concerts are free and open to the public.
