The you can’t get lost here school
At Seven Hills learning is attuned, as fully as possible, to the individual needs of our students. Therefore, no one gets lost.
Small class sizes and skilled, perceptive teachers ensure that we truly know and appreciate each student. Beyond the classroom, students frequently use their free bells and lunch periods to see teachers for extra help or more often, just to chat.
When a student requires extra support beyond an individual teacher’s capability, a teacher can refer the student to our learning support center, where trained learning specialists provide individual and small group instruction in the areas of organization, study skills, and test preparation.
Each student chooses an advisor who serves as an advocate, helping him, in turn, choose courses and navigate any difficulties that may arise. In addition, the guidance program, led by a dedicated and highly accessible counselor, helps students address social and emotional issues. The counselor and the learning specialists also engage teachers in developing solutions for learning or emotional issues. On occasion, they will provide referrals for educational testing, therapists, or other outside resources.
The bottom line: we know and care for every student. We do all we can to make sure there are no cracks to fall through at Seven Hills.
